16 November 2013 – I’m back after a whirlwind two day film shoot in Ubud, Bali. The project is a series of raw vegan video segments for Food Alchemy with Vanessa Jean. Vanessa Jean Boscarello Ovens, with special guest Courtney Stewart from Banana Rawpublic, took us through a variety of recipes both sweet and savoury that aren’t just delicious and easy to prepare, but nutrient rich and incredibly good for you!
Below are some production shots and screen caps. I’ll add to this as I go, including any publically available video segments Vanessa Jean chooses to release.
Make no mistake, these lovely ladies are both recognised experts in the fields of wholefood, food prepartion and medicinal cuisine.
Vanessa Jean Boscarello Ovens is a 25 year veteran of vegan cooking and wholefood preparation, as well as a highly qualified holistic therapist. This dynamite combination makes Vanessa Jean one of the foremost “food as medicine” authorities in the southern hemisphere. She runs regular classes and retreats in Australia and Indonesia. Check out her website at www.foodalchemy.com.au.
Courtney Stewart has travelled the world as a working raw food chef and food educator, taking her gift for amazing raw food to restaurant goers and retreat visitors in some incredible and exotic locations, as well as via her blog, bananarawpublic.blogspot.com.au.
Both these women share an insatiable and vivacious passion for the principles they teach, as well as an honest, down-to-earth and giving nature, that makes the seemingly lofty world of rawfood veganism both approachable and appealing. I challenge anyone not to feel drawn to a positive change in lifestyle after attending either of their classes but with both of them in combination, it’s almost impossible! 🙂
